Pre-Filter Sponges
Pre-filter sponges prevent dirt and debris from entering the LifeSaver Bottle, protecting the filter cartridge membranes from objects such as gravel, sand, sticks and mud, and prolonging the life of the LifeSaver cartridge.
Your pre-filter sponge may also be used as a scavenging sponge, use it to soak up water from hard to reach areas like cracks in rocks or shallow puddles.
It is suggested that you replace the pre-filter scavenging sponge every 6 months given average use.
