LifeSaver Wayfarer - How to Replace the Carbon Filter

Activated Carbon Filters don't make your water any safer, but they do remove unpleasant tastes and smells, heavy metals and chemicals. The carbon filters in your LifeSaver Wayfarer filter up to 100 litres of water, so will need replacing much more often than the ultrafiltration cartridge. You'll know when the carbon needs changing simply from the taste. Our video shows you how quick and easy it is to do.

Always remove the carbon disc from your jerrycan while it's in storage. They are made from a natural material which will start to decompose if left damp for an extended period of time. To find out how to change the main filter cartridge take a look at our video.
