Continuing to support humanitarian aid

In support of World Water Day, we’re donating one of our brand new water purifiers to help people in the fight for survival following Cyclone Idai in Mozambique. This LifeSaver C1 will provide up to 500,000 litres of safe drinking water in the coming weeks and months whilst they rebuild their infrastructure.

Clean, safe water remains one of the most important needs for those affected, as existing safe water sources have been completely destroyed. A single LifeSaver C1 can provide up to 500,000 litres of safe drinking water to a community of 100 people daily for up to 4 and a half years. In emergency situations like this, the LifeSaver C1 will help to protect communities from outbreaks of cholera and other life-threatening illnesses by providing them with clean, safe drinking water when they need it most.

Up to 500,000 litres of clean, safe drinking water at the turn of a tap

The LifeSaver C1 marries the benefits of mass water purification for larger communities with the simplicity and efficiency of LifeSaver’s smaller water purification devices, revolutionising community and off-grid water purification for those who don’t have access to a clean water system.

Like its predecessor, the LifeSaver C2, the new C1 is capable of purifying huge volumes of water in its lifetime. However, the C1 is far easier and cheaper to ship to remote communities, being much smaller and lighter. Designed for simple and quick connection to overhead water storage tanks (the type commonly used in developing countries) or even municipal piped supplies where water quality may be compromised, a C1 brings clean drinking water in an easy to transport and install portable package.

LifeSaver water filtration products remove bacteria, cysts AND viruses, and use FailSafe technology, meaning once the filter membranes are blocked water cannot pass through, keeping users safe.

Access to clean, safe drinking water is a human right and we’ll continue working to make it accessible to everyone, everywhere.

  1. Hi there! We currently have one of your Lifesaver Jerrycans. We left in in Tanzania 3 years ago. Do we need a new filter? Also How many gallons of water does your new system hold and can it be delivered to Tanzania. We are trying to implement clean water in a remote village where I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in 2000.

    1. Hi Michele, someone from the LifeSaver team will email you directly to answer your questions. Thanks

  2. I go camping a lot and have to deal with getting rid of grey water. Will your water filtration products filter grey water into drinkable water?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Theodore, thanks for your message! Unfortunately Grey water contains soap and detergents that are in solution within water, LifeSaver products cannot filter out soaps and detergents because it cannot remove particles in solution.

      Thanks

  3. Great work.. My name is Vivek, resident of Bengaluru, India. I am working to save rain water that goes to drain. People do not use it as it contains the dust, bird waste etc. I want to know if your device can be used for filtering rain water that falls on the terrace?

Thank you for all your efforts.

    Thanks,
    Vivek

    1. Hi Vivek, thanks for your message. Yes, our technology will make rain water safe to drink. I’ve emailed you to find out more about your project.

      Thanks!
