Been through 2 in 2 years.
Helpful hints
1. Never pressurize too much as this will just pop off and be unfixable
2. The plastic insert will break off as soon as you touch it
3. Try not to ever touch this once you fix it
4. If it does break you can still use the jerrycan in an emergency by inserting a pen in to the hole and opening the tap using as a handle

A most to have if you love overlanding, camping, out door activities or as simply as road tripping, great products made of Hight quality food grate plastics and the water activated charcoal filter makes the water taste delicious and refreshing

I’ve been traveling and bought the blue LifeSaver about 4 months ago online. The company shipped everything...filter and accessories included to a DHL pickup point in Albox, Spain, without any issues.

The water that comes out of the LifeSaver is fantastic. The tap water in Albox is heavily chlorinated and not pleasant to drink, but once it goes through the LifeSaver, it’s clean, fresh, and totally drinkable. It really lives up to its name...it does save lives.

A small word of caution: be gentle with the tap. If you're too rough, the spring can pop out, and the tap break.

That said, LifeSaver's customer service was excellent... they sent me a replacement blue tap from the UK to Spain via DHL with no hassle, just based on my proof of purchase.

This product looks great, but it won’t fit in the very popular Front Runner Jerry can holder. The can is 6.5” wide, but lacks the rounded tapered edges of a classic military Jerry can. So the claim of “Military Spec” is not actually correct. It needs to either have the true military specs or be 1/4” narrower to fit in currently available Jerry can holders. I can’t find a holder that will fit and it’s already overpriced, so back it goes to the seller. My suggestion to the manufacturer: Make a vertical and/or horizontal holder that fits and sell the set for the same price.

My husband, an avid outdoors enthusiast with decades of camping and multi-day hiking experience, and I both really like the functionality of the Lifsaver Wayfarer water purifier. This model is a lot easier to use than the squeeze bottle type of purifier we’ve used previously. Although the Wayfarer is slightly heavier and bigger than the other type, it’s still quite lightweight and easy to transport. One really great feature is the long hose with foam swimmer that acts as a prefilter, making it possible to collect water from below the surface and not worrying about clogging. The squeeze bottle uses surface water, which sometimes has debris in it and easily clogs. The other advantage is that the mechanism of the Wayfarer is different (the system gets pressurized) and it requires very little effort to pump the water through and filters unlimited amounts of water as long as you pump. The squeeze bottle requires a lot of muscle strength to squeeze (or even sit on it) and it only filters 1 liter at a time. If you want to fill a big pot to make spaghetti, for example, the squeeze bottle is cumbersome, but it’s very easy with the Wayfarer filter to purify as much water as you want.The instructions on how to clean the filter apparatus were not totally clear in the manual, but the manufacturer responded very quickly to my email to describe the proper procedure (use baby bottle sterilizer), and also where to buy more activated charcoal filters.The only (minor) caveat is that once you use it, the membrane must stay wet to remain effective, so you need to store it with water in it. But overall it’s a great product and we’re ready to to get rid of that squeeze bottle purifier and upgrade to the Wayfarer Purifier on a permanent basis!

Although I’ve bought many different water filters and purifiers in the past, this is just the product I need! Many filters are fine for North America as they filter bacteria. And many water purifiers that filter both bacteria and viruses (crucial for international travel) are straw or bottle type personal devices only. The Wayfarer allows me to not just filter, but also purify, water for my whole travel group. Although compact it seems solidly built. A lot of thought has gone into the design. I especially like that the tubes are color-coded and have their own pockets in the carrying case to avoid inadvertent cross-contamination. It will come with me in a couple of weeks on a backpacking trip through Namibia where space (and safe water) will be at a premium. On my return it will form a crucial part of my emergency preparedness pack until my next adventure!

I own the lifesaver liberty already, but I wanted to try this on out as it is more compact and light. First impressions are good, it feels light and sturdy, and of comparable build quality to the liberty. I have drank from all kinds of water sources with the liberty, this uses the same filter albeit in a smaller package. You do lose the ability to use it as a water bottle, however for my use I carry a Nalgene with me so this isn’t a concern.

I love having this on my boat since I have never cleaned the water tanks (it's not easy to do) and don't totally trust drinking from the boat sink. I don't know if it's possible to buy a filter replacement through Amazon which is a bit annoying but I imagine I have many gallons to go before I need one. Great for emergency situations as you can imagine. Seems very sturdy to me! Highly recommend for Rv or boats especially

I purchased the lifesaver Jerry can in August of last year and what can I say but awesome...I used it all through the summer on camping trips in tents, campers and my RV. It preformed flawlessly, whether filtering lake water or pond water or rain water it did it's job and kept me and up to 7 other people hydrated through some pretty long camping trips.After the season was over, I unpacked it, cleaned it thoroughly (as per the instructions) and put it in my kitchen for the winter.It was about mid winter when my wife decided to start buying bottled water (she is pregnant with our second child) well I had the bright idea to start filtering our tap water with the lifesaver and at just a cent or two per liter, man was that a great idea! Clean, pure drinking water made right there in our kitchen! We filter a gallon or two at a time and just top off the Jerry can each time we use it.I am telling you, this unit is amazing, if you keep the carbon filters changed every so often then you will have the best drinking water available.And talk about easy to use! My 2 year old girl thinks it's a game, she pumps it for us whenever we will let her and she fills the 1 gallon jugs that we keep in the fridge for drinking. How about that!I mean it is practically effortless and anyone can learn to use it properly in just about a minute.If you are looking for a great "base camp" water filter like I was when I found the life saver jerrycan, then this is the unit for you, and if you are looking for a family sized water filter for survivalism then this is the unit for you, but most importantly if you are looking for a quick, easy way to provide yourself and your family with clean, fresh, pure drinking water every day and in any situation...Then this is the unit for you!

I havnt used this yet but I can see this saving me a lot of money from bottled water and it gives me peace of mind for unseen events

$50 shipping was outrageous! This sprayer will leak again when it gets exposed to a freeze. A rebuild kit consisting of the three small “O” rings would be much more customer friendly. The replacement cost for the sprayer and hose is in line with plumbing suppliers but such shipping charges to the US market is out of line. One season of use in my Scout camper and two cold spring nights were all it took to cause a leak

All came well packaged and on the specified delivery date. It's better to be 2 years to early than to be 2 minutes to late.

Prompt delivery and a good quality solid item

I have changed my review (from 1 star to 4 stars) because Lifesaver took the time to contact me and explain why (with rising costs etc..) why they cant offer free delivery. Although I understand their arguments I still disagree as most online companies do offer free delivery after a certain amount(and repeat customers should be given discounts).
What I will say is I have done a lot of research and looked at a lot of reviews evaluating other products (and spent quite a bit of money trying to find a better product or one at least at the same quality) but have always come back to the same realisation that Lifesaver is the best product bar none. I guess the question is: do you want to compromise on price or your health? I chose price because I know I can rely on Lifesaver for quality and know my health is the most important.

I'm in Portugal, and I received the Jerrycan Ultimate Emergency Preparedness Pack yesterday. I'll only open the aluminum bags when needed. But I can say that everything arrived as expected.

Arrived few days ago I got the khaki jerrycan with the new filter. We are in process of fitting it inside our Land Rover defender 110. We got it so we can go anywhere and we have peace of mind we have safe water.

I have not used it, ia am keeping it in case trump goes fwd with invading Canada, this is not a joke.
