Navigating through testing documentation can be confusing, but rest assured that our products undergo extensive testing against the most stringent NSF standards. They are proven to perform in the most challenging conditions—far beyond what you would likely encounter in the wilderness or emergency situations. While most brands limit their testing (if they even have testing) to just a few litres of artificially contaminated tap water, LifeSaver pushes the boundaries by testing on and off over a multi-day period, with "simulated sewage" water sources.
With LifeSaver, you receive unparalleled protection across our entire range, designed to keep you safe in any environment. The filter cartridges in LifeSaver purifiers are all made from the same hollow fibre membranes. This means that all our products are as effective and reliable as each other.
While not all our of products have undergone the full NSF P248 military standard test, due to its extensive nature, they have all met and exceeded adaptations of the rigorous NSF P231 testing protocols, ensuring a standard of safety that surpasses our uncompromising requirements for the removal of microbiological contaminants.

Unrivalled military and consumer grade testing to the toughest requirements
- We test our products at independent labs using the full protocols created by NSF (National Sanitation Foundation). NSF P231 – Microbiological Water Purifiers & NSF P248 Military Operation Microbiological Water Purifiers. These are running 10.5 day tests that use multiple sources of water (including imitated sewage), to stress the purifier and check it will work for you in all scenarios.
